Dialogue Vol. I
Albert Marquès & Rachel Therrien
Released Nov 14 2025
Pianist Albert Marquès and trumpeter Rachel Therrien announce worldwide release of Dialogue – Vol. I, the first installment in a two-part collaboration that reimagines the boundaries between improvisation and composition. The album captures the spontaneous chemistry between two genre-bending artists whose friendship and musical dialogue have evolved over more than a decade.
Dialogue – Vol. I unfolds as a collection of improvisations so organically structured as an exploration of texture, emotion, and trust between two artists fluent in multiple languages of sound. Drawing from jazz, flamenco, Afro-Latin grooves, and contemporary improvisation, the duo crafts music that is both immediate and deeply reflective. The result is a sonic conversation, at once intimate and unpredictable, that invites the listener into their shared creative space.
“Improvisation is our way of composing together in real time,” says Marquès. “Every track is a story that we didn’t know we were going to tell until we started playing.”
“This project is about freedom and connection,” adds Therrien. “It’s what happens when two people who have played together for years finally decide to record what they’ve been saying to each other musically all along.”
