Founded in 2004 and based in Calgary, AB, Chronograph Records represents the very best in independent Western Canadian artists. Chronograph focuses primarily on jazz, though our musicians are also active in blues, roots, country, smooth jazz, and urban acoustic markets. Binding our diverse roster together is a simple shared principle: dedication to musical craftsmanship of the highest order. Over the past two years alone, our artists have won or been nominated for over 15 major awards, including the Edmonton Music Prize (Audrey Ochoa, Winner, 2018), Western Canadian Music Awards (Audrey Ochoa, Winner, Jazz Artist of the Year, 2020), and JUNO Awards (Laila Biali, Winner, Vocal Jazz Recording of the Year, 2019). Chronograph couples a local mandate with global reach, successfully bringing our musicians to national and international markets: Chronograph artists have held top spots on iTunes, Canadian and American radio charts, and have been showcased at major music conferences in Europe, North America, and Australia. Chronograph offers a bespoke experience for artists, providing specialized solutions at every step of the process, collaborating closely with our musicians to conceptualize, create, and distribute music of the highest calibre.
